What's in a Name?

Ask Yourself: "If I did not have a name, how could I identify myself? If I had no name, who would I be? Your name is extremely important. You name is life! It is how you identify yourself and how others identify you. The more insight you have into the powerful influence of your name, the greater opportunity to enjoy the success you are capable of achieving. The first thing people know about you is your name. Did you know that all the power and all the authority that Jesus has is invested in His name? The Word teaches us that we have the power of attorney to use His name! Jesus said we could use His name in prayer, in dealing with demons, and ministering healing. "Ask the Father in My Name," Jesus said, "and the Father will give it to you." In Revelations 1:18 Jesus appeared to John on the isle of Patmos and said, "I am He that lives and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore and have the keys of hell and of death." The one who has the key is the authorized one. Jesus is saying, "I have authority." In My Name! In the Name of Jesus! He authorized us. He gave us His Name as authority. The power is in the Name. The authority is in the Name. He gave us the Name above every name. He gave us the name that is recognized in three worlds, the Name that has authority in heaven, on earth and under the earth. Angels, men and demons have to bow at that name. And that Name belongs to us! We are authorized to use that Name! Some people have said, "Healing and speaking in tongues has been done away with. The Church today doesn't have authority over evil and demons.." NO, NO, NO! These supernatural signs follow the name of Jesus! Supernatural signs follow people who believe. Mathew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Because our heads have been educated a certain way, it is sometimes difficult for us to listen to our hearts. We need to see that it is up to us to do something about these situations in our lives which He has authorized us to do! Engage your Covenant and walk in His everlasting promises today!
